Specialization
We
overwrap -- that's what we do. We do not shrinkwrap, we do
not print, we do not fold or glue; therefore, our expertise
provides you with the best price and highest quality available.
And we are not connected to any certain printing company,
which means your project gets top-billing in our schedule
and won't get bumped to the end of the line.
Our
talented engineers have mastered two distinct styles of overwrapping:
continuous bandolier (perforated between packages or not)
and individual pieces with a fin-seal running along the back.
Whatever your insertion needs, we are experts at making your
project run smoothly.

PACKAGING
ADVANTAGE, INC. is proud to announce…
On May 12, 1997, Packaging Advantage acquired Excalibur Package
& Design of St. Louis, Missouri and transferred all of Excalibur's
operations to our West Chicago plant. We purchased all rights
to the Excalibur name and are now the sole owner of all of
Excalibur's equipment and patented processes, including FLATPAC™,
TucketT™ and Festooning.
These
unique processes, detailed below, add tremendous value to
your overwrapped product:
FLATPAC™,
a patented process in which air is extracted from your package,
thereby giving it a "skin-tight" appearance. This not only
stabilizes the product in the package, it reduces bulk and
improves the reliability of insertion into the final retail
unit.
TUCKETT™,
the process of folding under and tacking down the end seals
of the overwrapped package. This creates a hermetically sealed
"shrink style" package that takes up less space within the
final retail package, thereby maximizing the amount of information
you can convey to the consumer.
Festooning,
a splicing method used with bandolier-style overwrapping that
results in a continuous ribbon of product that will not tangle
or cause your production line to stop for rethreading. This
ability to produce non-stop eliminates costly downtime and
all the issues that arise from constant starting and stopping.
